Itinerary: Mount Rinjani 3-Day Trekking Summit

Day 1: Sembalun (1,150m) → Sembalun Crater Rim (2,639m)

  • 07:00 – Breakfast & registration at Rinjani National Park office
  • 08:00 – Start trekking through open grasslands (hot; bring sun protection)
  • 12:00 – Lunch at Pos 2 (1,500m)
  • 13:00 – Continue trek, steeper ascent after Pos 3 (1,800m)
  • 16:00 – Arrive at Sembalun Crater Rim (Plawangan Sembalun, 2,639m)
  • 17:30—Dinner & overnight at the rim campsite with sunset views over Segara Anak Lake

Activities Day 2: Summit Rinjani (3,726m) → Segara Anak Lake (2,000m)

  • 01:30 – Wake up, light breakfast
  • 02:00 – Begin summit push (steep, sandy volcanic trail, very challenging)
  • 06:00 – Reach Mount Rinjani Summit (3,726m), sunrise & panoramic views
  • 07:30 – Descend back to crater rim campsite (2–3 hours)
  • 10:00 – Brunch at campsite, rest
  • 11:00 – Descend steeply into crater (~2 hrs) to Segara Anak Lake (2,000m)
  • 13:00 – Lunch at the lake, optional hot spring bath
  • 15:00 – Dinner & overnight camping at the lakeside

Day 3: Lake Segara Anak (2,000m) → Senaru Crater Rim (2,641m) → Senaru Village (601m)

  • 07:00 – Breakfast at Lake Segara anak
  • 08:00 – Steep climb (3 hours) from the lake to Senaru Crater Rim (2,641m)
  • 11:00 – Enjoy final views of Segara Anak Lake & the summit
  • 12:00—Lunch on the trail descending
  • 16:00 – Arrive at Senaru Village (601m), end of trek & transfer, back to the hotel

  • Put backpack or spare clothes under your legs
