Rinjani trekking lake: 3 days. The destination, Segara Anak Lake, offers views of all parts of Mount Rinjani. The trek starts from Senaru and goes down to Sembalun.

This trek program offers beginner trekkers healthy stamina. We do not recommend it for those who suffer from asthma or allergies to cold temperatures.

Overview: Rinjani Trekking Lake 3 Days

  • Pass the grand tropical forest (big trees and local strawberries); shadow trails

  • Start/Finish: Senaru Village (≈600 m)
  • Highest point: Senaru Crater Rim / Plawangan Senaru (≈2,641 m)
  • Lake elevation: Segara Anak (≈2,000 m)
  • Difficulty: Moderate (long climbs + loose volcanic descent)

  • Listen to your guide—if they say turn back, it’s not negotiable.

Itinerary: Rinjani Trekking Lake 3 Days

Day 01: Lunch and dinner on the mountain (6-hour walk and distance 9.2 km)

  • Early morning at  05.00 am, transfer to Senaru village 
  • Registration at the RTC (Rinjani Trekking Centre Senaru 601 m)
  • Prepare for trekking at 07.30–08.00 AM
  • Walking in the open views for 30 minutes with the green plants of the coffee tree, Bamboo, etc.
  • Pass the walk for 30 more minutes to the gate of the tropical rainforest, with fifteen 15-minute short breaks.
  • Trek for 3 hours to post 2 (MONTONG SATAS 1,500 m), and see black monkeys and big trees
  • Break at POS 2 and get fresh fruits and soft drinks from our Guide and porter
  • Trek to post 3, pass tropical forest, local strawberry, 3-hour walk, lunch (fresh fruit and snacks/biscuits)
  • After 1 hour and 30 minutes, take a rest and continue to the Rim of Senaru Crater (2,641 m). One-hour walk
  • Camping overnight at Crater Rim Senaru, enjoy an amazing sunset over 3 Gili’s and Mount Agung, Bali.

Day 02: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner on the mountain (walk 4 hours and a distance of 3-4 km)

  • 08.00 am: Breakfast at Crater Rim Senaru, walk down to the lake Segara Anak (takes 3 hours).
  • 11.00 Walk around Segara Anak Lake, visiting Cave Susu, Hot Water, and Lake Segara Anak.
    Lunch at Segara Anak
  • In the afternoon, around 15.00, walk up to Crater Rim Sembalun, which needs a 3-hour walk.
  • 18.00 Arrive at Sembalun Crater Rim, a night at Crater Rim Sembalun and Dinner

Activities Day 03: Breakfast and Lunch on the Mountain (walk 9 hours and distance 12.6 km)

  • Wake up at 02.00 am. Trek for the summit, a hard trek, and a cold temperature of 3–10 degrees.
  • 2.5 hours of trekking to the summit of Rinjani (3,726 m)
  • Enjoy the amazing sunrise view from the summit (Mount Agung Bali and Sumbawa views).
  • Return to the Crater Rim Sembalun for breakfast 
  • Leave the crater rim from Sembalun to Sembalun village.
  • Will arrive in Sembalun village around 4 p.m.
  • 4:00 PM Transfer back to the hotel. End program.

  • Stuff clothes into a dry bag for a pillow
