The trekking route visits Mount Rinjani summit (3,726 m), Segara Anak Lake (crater), Hot Springs, and Crater Rim Senaru.

Overview: Mount Rinjani 5-Day Trekking

Itinerary: Mount Rinjani 5-Day Trekking

Activities Day 01: Harbor, Airport, or Hotel Transfer to Senaru Village

  1. Pick-up service from the harbor, airport, or hotel to transfer Senaru
  2. Stay one night at Senaru, dinner at Senaru Hotel

Activities Day 02: Breakfast at Hotel Senaru, transfer to Sembalun village, lunch, and dinner on the mountain. (walk 7 hours and a distance of 10 km)

  • 07.30 Transfer to Sembalun village, registration at the Rinjani Information Center (RIC) at 1051 m, and a body health check. (breakfast at senaru)
  • Start the trek to POS 1 (Pos Pemantauan, 1,300 M). 2 hours of walking; take a rest of 10 minutes at POS 1.
  • Walk to POS 2 for 1 hour (Pos Tengengean, 1,500 m), take a rest for 10 minutes,
  • Continue to POS 3 (Pada Balong, 1,800 m), a 1-hour walk. Lunch at POS 3, and you will rest for 2 hours.
  • Continue walking up 3 hours to Crater Rim (Plawangan Sembalun, 2,639 m).
  • Dinner and overnight at Crater Rim Sembalun; enjoy the sunset and sunrise the next day.

Activities Day 03: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner (walk 9 hours and a distance of 8.5 km)

  • Wake up at 02.30 Am, have a light breakfast, and leave at 3.00 am
  • Heading to Summit Rinjani (3,726), walking time is approximately 3 hours and 20 minutes.
  • From the summit, you can see Lombok Island, Bali, Sumbawa, and Segara Anak Lake.
  • Back to camp to get breakfast at Crater Rim Sembalun.
  • Walk down to Segara Anak Lake and Hot Spring Water for 3 hours.
  • Lunch at the Lake Segara Anak hot springs, just 100 meters from the Lake Segara anak
  • Camping at Segara Anak Lake, enjoy the lake and its surroundings.
  • Dinner and sleep at Segara Anak

Day 04: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner (walk 4 hours and a distance of 2.5 km)

  • Segara Anak Lake, a new baby volcano, and having breakfast at Segara Anak Lake.
  • Spend more time enjoying the lake and hot spring water.
  • After lunch, to Goa Susu and to Plawangan Senaru by a 3–4 hour walk.
  • Camping at Senaru Crater Rim and enjoying your dinner here

Day 05: Breakfast, lunch at the mountain and transfer to the next destination (walk 6 hours and distance 9.5 km)

  • After breakfast and enjoying the sunrise, prepare to walk down to Senaru
  • Lunch at POS 2 or POS EXTRA.
  • Arrive at Senaru Rinjani Trekking Centre around 01.00 pm.
  • Prepare yourself for transfer to Senggigi, Mataram, or Bangsal
