Where is Wae Rebo Village?
At 1,100 meters above sea level, Wae Rebo is one of the highest villages in Indonesia. Wae Rebo village, currently inhabited by only 1,200 people, is located around 110 KM from Labuan Bajo, Flores.
Who is the founder of the village
The founder of Wae Rebo Village is Empu Maro. He built the village 100 years ago, and now it is reaching the 18th generation of descendants. The unique thing is the Mbaru Niang traditional house, covered in palm grass from the roof to the ground.
