Komodo (2 Days): Sharing Adventure Starts Labuan Bajo, Flores

The Komodo (2 days) sharing adventure tour starts Labuan Bajo harbor and ends the next day in the late afternoon. This is a budget-friendly option for travelers. Pick-up service from your hotel will start between 09.30 and 10.45 AM. Pick-up service from your hotel or airport will begin at 09.00 a.m. and 10.30 a.m. for Labuan Bajo Harbor.

We offer short trips to Komodo Island from Labuan Bajo Harbor. Our packages include lunch, 1x dinner, and 1x breakfast on the boat. The maximum number of participants is 18 people. You can choose between a private cabin room or a shared cabin room with air conditioning.

  • Bat: Watch thousands of bats at Kalong Island. 

Who Can Join?

  • Anyone can join the shared Komodo tours—they’re public group tours where you pay per person and join other travelers. You don’t need to be part of a private group.
  • Solo travelers: Solo travelers are welcome on shared tours, and it’s common to meet other tourists on the boat.
  • Adults and children: Children can join, with a minimum age of 5 years or older (hiking and boat activities)

  • Do not get too close: Keep a safe distance from the Komodo dragons. Komodo dragons can be aggressive and move quickly.
  • Don’t shout or run: loud noises or sudden movements can startle the Komodo dragon and trigger an aggressive reaction.
  • Please don’t feed: Feeding Komodo dragons can habituate them to humans and may cause them to become aggressive.
  • Don’t climb trees: Komodo dragons may chase you
  • Don’t make sudden movements: Sudden movements can startle dragons and trigger an aggressive reaction.
  • Don’t touch dragons: on land or in the sea.
  • Do not stay alone: always stay with a tour guide, and do not go alone in the Komodo dragon area.
  • Menstruating women must report: You must report to the guide or attendant for special supervision.
  • Do not wear red-colored clothing: Komodo dragons have a high sensitivity to the color red.
  • Avoid making loud noises: Komodo dragons can become aggressive

  4. You need to pay the balance in cash upon arrival.
  5. Inform us of your hotel name in Labuan Bajo for the pickup time.

What cabin do we recommend to you for the (2-day) Komodo boat tour?

  • For two people or a couple, staying in a private cabin is a good option for more privacy.
  • For families with kids, sharing a cabin is a great option. Keep staying together in one room.
  • Solo travel. Stay in a shared cabin and sleep with someone of the same gender.

  • Sharing the Komodo Packages by our local partner company in Labuan Bajo organize
  • All sharing trip companies will work together; there are minimum and maximum participants to join the trip. Maximum passengers: 18 people; minimum: 10 people
  • This program of trip sharing to Komodo is low-budget; you cannot demand better service on a private deluxe trip.
  • Stay one night at Labuan Bajo and one night after the trip, or take a direct flight from Bali.
  • The itinerary is subject to change based on local conditions.
  • Adjustments may occur in cases of force majeure.
  • Participants, please follow the guide’s instructions throughout the trip.

Itinerary: 2-day Komodo trip

Day 1: Lunch and dinner on the boat

  • Estimate 09:30-10:30 am: Pick up from hotel transfer to Labuan Bajo Harbor
  • 11.00 Start sail to Kelor Island trekking or hiking
  • 13.00 Manjerite Beach snorkeling or swimming
  • 16.00 Kalong Island: See the sunset and bats.
  • 18.00 Kambing Island-Padar Island boat overnight around Padar Island.

Day 2: Breakfast and lunch on the boat

  1. 05.00 Padar Island Trekking or Hiking
  2. 08.00 Pink Beach or Long Beach activities: snorkeling and walking on the beach
  3. 10:00 Komodo Island: See the Komodo Dragon

Things to bring on the 2-day Komodo tour

  • Clothing: A swimsuit, light clothing for after-water activities, and an evening outfit
  • Sun protection: Reef-safe sunscreen, a wide-brimmed hat, and polarized sunglasses
  • Footwear: Hiking sandals or shoes, or water shoes or sandals for walking on the beach
  • Toiletries: Toothbrush and other toiletries
  • Other equipment: Dry bags, wet wipes, headset or earplugs, power bank, and a hard drive for documentation

  1. The schedule can change at any time. It is dangerous to sail to Komodo Island. Always trust the captain of the ship, and don’t risk your life.
  2. Safety is the priority on a trip to Komodo Island.
  3. We are a travel agent and not a tour organizer for this trip. For any feedback and complaints, we recommend that you send them to the tour organizer.
  4. All services on board are the tour organizer’s responsibility.
  5. We are not responsible for flight cancellations, delay or luggage delays
  6. Bad weather and force majeure. We will change the itinerary for safety.
  7. Engine failure. We will replace the boat without notice and adjust the boat price
  8. Our boat has a double bedroom, one bed for two people, and no single beds. This means you will sleep in the same bed with someone (same gender)

Cancellation policy:

  • All payment refunds for cancellations made up to 7 days.
  • A 50% charge applies for cancellations within 5 days
  • A full charge is applicable for cancellations within 48 hours.

Tips for snorkeling Komodo on a 2-day adventure

  • Bring your own mask & snorkel (better fit & hygiene)
  • Snorkel close to the shoreline for colorful coral and reef fish.
  • Use water shoes or fins—coral can be sharp
  • Be aware of jellyfish: they’re not common and can appear seasonally.
  • Never touch or step on coral, manta rays & turtles
  • Don’t chase fish—float and let them approach
  • Wear a rash guard for sun protection and comfort.
  • Enter water together
  • Use a life vest (totally normal); the current in Komodo is very strong
  • Don’t fight the current—float and signal

How to get out from the boat & back on Snorkeling

How to stay steady:

  1. Put fins on in the water, not on the boat.
  2. Hold the side of the boat & sliding in
  3. Use the ladder (ask the captain).
  4. Fix the snorkel on the left side
  5. Wet your mask with seawater first

Back to the boat safely:

  1. Remove fins in the water.
  2. Hand them to the crew.
  3. Climb slowly using both hands.
  4. Sit on the edge of the boat.
  5. Mask and snorkel held firmly on your face
  6. One hand on mask, one on back of head
  7. Roll backward into water
  8. Open the fins in the water
  9. Get the boat from the stair
  10. Don’t walk with fins in the boat.
