Open trip Komodo means guests travel together on the same boat and follow a pre-set schedule. Komodo open trips use shared liveaboard boats for overnight journeys. Scheduling open trips is fix, except for weather changes

Day 01. Lunch and dinner on boat

  • Estimate from 09.30 to 11.30: hotel or airport transfer to Labuan Bajo harbor
  • 12.00-12.30 The boat sails to Kelor Island for swimming and hiking.
  • 13.00-14.30. Menjerite Island activities include snorkeling and lunch on the boat.
  • 15.30-16.30 Kalong Island, view the flying foxes
  • 18:30 Sunset at Kalong Island; boat overnight at Kalong Island. dinner on the boat. 

Day 02. Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner on Boat

  • 15.00-15.20: The boat sails to Taka Makasar and Manta Point
  • 17.00-17.20. Spot Manta Point, Overnight on the Boat

Day 03. Breakfast and Lunch on Boat

  • 07.00-08.30. After breakfast, Taka Makasar
  • 10.30-11.00. Sebayur Island, Spot Snorkeling
  • 12.00–14.00 Boats sail back to Labuan Bajo Harbor.

  • Deposit payment: you can pay to our Bank Account or PayPal
  • We are not responsible for any taxes.
  • The balance you must pay in cash on arrival. 

Cancellation policy:

  • All payment refunds for cancellations made up to 7 days.
  • A 50% charge applies for cancellations within 5 days
  • A full charge is applicable for cancellations within 48 hours.

What are the essentials to bring on the Open Trip Komodo Island 3 Days?

  • Clothing: A swimsuit, light clothing for after-water activities, and an evening outfit
  • Sun protection: Reef-safe sunscreen, a wide-brimmed hat, and polarized sunglasses

  1. The schedule can change at any time. It is dangerous to sail to Komodo Island. Always trust the captain of the ship, and don’t risk your life. Safety is the priority.
  2. We are a travel agent and not a tour organizer for this trip. For any feedback and complaints, we recommend that you send them to the tour organizer.

Regulation: See Komodo dragon. 

  • Do not get too close: keep a safe distance from the Komodo dragons. Komodo dragons can be aggressive and move quickly.
  • Don’t shout or run: loud noises or sudden movements can startle the Komodo dragon and trigger an aggressive reaction.
  • Please don’t feed: Feeding Komodo dragons can habituate them to humans and may cause them to become aggressive.
  • Don’t climb trees: Komodo dragons may chase you
  • Don’t make sudden movements: Sudden movements can startle dragons and trigger an aggressive reaction.
  • Don’t touch dragons: on land or in the sea.
  • Do not stay alone: always stay with a tour guide, and do not go alone in the Komodo dragon area.
  • Menstruating women must report: You must report to the guide or attendant for special supervision.
  • Do not wear red-colored clothing: Komodo dragons have a high sensitivity to the color red.
  • Avoid making loud noises: Komodo dragons can become aggressive

Tips for snorkeling on the Komodo tour!

  • Bring your own mask & snorkel (better fit & hygiene)
  • Snorkel close to the shoreline for colorful coral and reef fish.
  • Use water shoes or fins—coral can be sharp
  • Be aware of jellyfish: they’re not common and can appear seasonally.
  • Never touch or step on coral, manta rays & turtles
  • Don’t chase fish—float and let them approach
  • Wear a rash guard for sun protection and comfort.
  • Enter water together
  • Use a life vest (totally normal); the current in Komodo is very strong
  • Don’t fight the current—float and signal

How to stay steady:

  1. Put fins on in the water, not on the boat.
  2. Hold the side of the boat & sliding in
  3. Use the ladder (ask the captain).
  4. Fix the snorkel on the left side
  5. Wet your mask with seawater first

Back to the boat safely:

  1. Remove fins in the water.
  2. Hand them to the crew.
  3. Climb slowly using both hands.
  4. Sit on the edge of the boat.
  5. Mask and snorkel held firmly on your face
  6. One hand on mask, one on back of head
  7. Roll backward into water
  8. Open the fins in the water
  9. Get the boat from the stair
  10. Don’t walk with fins in the boat.
