Torean Gate (North Route, Alternative) Trek Rinjani official

  • Location: Torean Village, near Senaru

Route SembalunSenaru (3 days / 2 nights):  Elevation gain: ~2,600 m up, ~3,100 m down

Pros

  • For the summit and crater lake (Segara Anak).
  • Varied scenery: open savanna (Sembalun side) → volcanic landscape → lush rainforest (Senaru side).

Cons

  • very steep and slippery in wet season
  • Longer and more demanding descent on the knees.
